Oak Burl Rounds

I have started cutting rounds 3" thick. I will keep updating the images as I cut more slabs. Large burly and tight curl log on the surface, some figure inside. I believe it is oak. The center is very sound and hard, there are some separated growth rings. Because it is an older log, where there is a separated growth ring and a check, some chunks have released from the edge, but they will stay with the slabs to be epoxied back on if desired. This has been air drying in log form at my mill for at least 5 years, I believe it was cut a few years before that. These slabs OB2 through OB13 are from the top half of the trunk.
