I run a lumberyard in Spring, TX called Wood Flippers. I sell quality kiln dried exotic and domestic furniture grade hardwood lumber, cut-off’s and cutting board blanks to folks in and around the greater Houston area, but we also ship lumber within the Continental United States. So, even if you’re not local to the Houston area, do know that freight is always available. This particular listing is for SEL&BTR grade 4/4 (1” thick) and 8/4 (2” thick) Wenge dimensional lumber. Wenge is an exotic wood, native to the open forests of Zaire, Cameroon, Gabon, the southern regions of Tanzania, and Mozambique. It is also found in the swampy forests of the Congo region. Wenge is reported to be a suitable substitute for Hickory for the production of sporting goods. It is moderately hard and resistant to wearing and marring.
